Grades are the reason most UK families call us

In the UK, guitar often comes with a syllabus. A school or a local teacher suggests Rockschool or Trinity grades, a child wants to work through them, and the family needs someone who knows what each grade asks for.

That's where we're useful. We teach the Trinity and Rockschool guitar syllabi, including the technical work, the pieces and the supporting tests, and we prepare students for the exam. We're not an exam centre, so you enter through a registered centre or your school. Read more on exam preparation.

If grades aren't your goal, that's fine. Plenty of UK students simply want to play songs.

The clock: when UK lessons happen

We teach from 9 am to 10 pm India Standard Time. For the UK, that works out as follows.

In real terms, UK learners book three kinds of slot. Early mornings before school or work, roughly 7 to 8:30 am. Weekend mornings and lunchtimes. And, for children, a slot straight after school, ending by about 4:30 pm in winter or 5:30 pm in summer.

What doesn't work is the usual 6 to 9 pm evening, because it falls after 10 pm in India. If your child's timetable only leaves evenings, a different local teacher will serve you better. We'd rather say that at the free demo than have you find out in week three.

Time conversions are shown for standard and daylight-saving time where applicable, using 2026 time-zone rules. A window that crosses midnight spans two calendar days. These are teaching hours, not a list of available 45-minute appointments; confirm your city, date and lesson time before booking.

Who we teach in the UK

Four groups tend to come to us.

Secondary-school students working toward a Rockschool or Trinity grade, often with a school deadline. Adults who learned a bit years ago and want to restart with structure. Young children starting at 8, with a parent in the room. And families of Indian heritage who want Hindi film songs alongside the grade pieces.

One point of honesty: if your child is already past Grade 5, check that the teaching depth matches. At the demo, we'll listen to them play and say frankly whether we're the right fit.

04

What a lesson looks like

You join a Zoom or Google Meet link, and the teacher watches both hands through your camera. For grade students, the lesson typically splits into technical exercises, a piece, and supporting tests. For others, it's chords, rhythm and a song.

After each lesson, you get a practice plan of 15 to 20 minutes a day. If online lessons are new to you, how online guitar lessons work explains camera setup and sound.

05

Fees and payment

Prices are in rupees.

UK students usually pay by PayPal or Wise, which convert to pounds at the day's rate. We don't add an overseas surcharge. There's no lock-in. A shared lesson for two students costs ₹3,200 for four lessons; see online group guitar classes. For all plans, see private online guitar lessons.

06

Hindi songs and other styles

Students choose their own repertoire outside grade work. Bollywood guitar lessons are popular with UK learners who want songs they grew up with. Others prefer acoustic pop or rock.

07

Children in the UK

The minimum age is 8. Parents usually sit nearby for the first few lessons. Because the slot is before or just after school, we recommend a quiet space and a drink of water. See online guitar lessons for kids.
