Online Guitar Classes in New Zealand
Jam and Play offers online guitar classes in New Zealand through live, one-to-one video lessons. New Zealand is the furthest ahead of India of any country we teach, which shapes the schedule: lessons start in the late afternoon and run through the evening. Each lesson is 45 minutes. Four lessons cost ₹3,999, and the first 30-minute demo is free.

01
The schedule, plainly
We teach from 9 am to 10 pm India time. New Zealand is 7.5 hours ahead during daylight saving, and 6.5 hours ahead in winter.
In practice, New Zealand students book between 4:30 and 8:30 pm on weekdays, or between 4:30 pm and late on weekends. Morning lessons before school or work aren't possible, because they fall in the Indian night.
A 5 pm lesson in Auckland in summer is 9:30 am in India. A 7:30 pm lesson is 12 noon. Both sit comfortably in our day.
Time conversions are shown for standard and daylight-saving time where applicable, using 2026 time-zone rules. A window that crosses midnight spans two calendar days. These are teaching hours, not a list of available 45-minute appointments; confirm your city, date and lesson time before booking.
| Season | NZ time zone | Lesson window |
|---|---|---|
| Late September to early April | NZDT (UTC+13) | 4:30 pm to 5:30 am |
| Early April to late September | NZST (UTC+12) | 3:30 pm to 4:30 am |
02
Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch and beyond
Auckland families typically book straight after school, around 4:30 to 5:30 pm, before dinner. Wellington learners often prefer later, around 7 pm, after commuting home. In Christchurch and Dunedin, students tend to choose Sunday afternoons. Smaller towns work equally well, because the only requirement is a decent connection.
Once a term timetable changes, we move your slot. Tell us before term starts.
03
Who this suits
It suits children who finish school at 3 pm and want a quiet slot after sport. It suits adults who work till 5 pm and learn in the evening. And it suits families wanting both Indian film songs and a general guitar foundation.
It doesn't suit anyone needing a morning lesson. At 7 am in Auckland it's 11:30 pm the night before in India.
04
What a lesson looks like
You join a Zoom or Google Meet link. The teacher watches your hands through the camera and corrects as you play. You get a practice plan of 15 to 20 minutes a day. If this is your first online lesson, how online guitar lessons work covers setup. Beginners learn two open chords in lesson one.
